Dingli has successfully completed the commissioning of its customized lignite coal drying production line at Pakistan's Thar Coalfield. The project was also covered by Dawn, one of Pakistan's most influential daily newspapers, recognized for its coverage of the country's energy and industrial sectors. This media attention highlights the project's significance and brings further visibility to Dingli's coal drying technology in the Pakistani market.
Located in the Thar Coalfield region of Pakistan, the project utilizes a DLMG-2823 lignite coal rotary dryer with a raw coal feeding capacity of 20 tons per hour. The system reduces the moisture content of raw lignite from 45% to 26%, addressing one of the major challenges associated with Thar coal: its high inherent moisture and sticky characteristics, which can complicate coal processing and utilization.

With 25 years of experience in drying equipment research, development and manufacturing, Dingli has developed specialized drying solutions for challenging high-moisture materials. For this project, the coal dryer incorporates customized lifting and material-breaking structures designed to improve material dispersion and movement inside the rotary drum. These features help mitigate material buildup, blockage and uneven drying, supporting stable heat exchange and continuous operation under demanding site conditions. The equipment is also designed with operational stability, energy efficiency and maintenance convenience in mind.
As a strategically important coal resource in Pakistan's energy development, the Thar Coalfield plays a significant role in the country's long-term energy planning. The successful commissioning of this project demonstrates the practical application of Dingli's customized drying technology to high-moisture lignite and reinforces the company's experience in coal drying solutions.

Beyond lignite, Dingli provides industrial drying equipment and customized turnkey systems for coal slime and other high-moisture coal materials. By tailoring equipment configurations to raw material properties, processing capacity and target moisture requirements, Dingli aims to help customers improve material handling and support more efficient coal utilization.
The successful completion of the Thar Coalfield project, together with its coverage by Dawn, marks an important milestone for Dingli's business development in Pakistan and the wider South Asian energy market. Looking ahead, Dingli will continue to provide customized industrial drying solutions for customers worldwide, contributing to improved coal processing and the development of local energy industries.
